Recently, Community High School took part in a 3-day LEAF Global Arts Streets & Schools Artist Residency with Paiute 1st Nation Hoop Dancer, Sage Romero and fellow dancer, Angela Miracle Gladue. Traveling from California and New Mexico, these two talented artists shared the art of traditional Native American hoop dancing with the students along with the language and stories from their tribes. Two students also performed with Sage and Angela at the Lake Eden Arts Festival following the residency.
