I am the Counselor for students M-Z.
This is my first year at Community and I am excited to serve our students and families!
I am a Watauga County Native and love living here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The mountains are such a unique spiritual place. My spouse, Joshua, and I have two small children, Junie and Whit, who occupy most of our time. I graduated with a BA in Human Services from Elon University in 2005 and a MA in Professional School Counseling from Appalachian State University in 2009. Before coming to Community High, I served as a School Counselor at Owen High for four years. Before working at Owen High, I practiced as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist for nine years in Western North Carolina. I remain a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist.
