Below is important information about our Summer Reading Camp.

Your child's teacher will send home a notification if your child is eligible to attend.

Summer Reading Camp is free of charge and is an opportunity for your child to receive more support, but it is not mandated or required. As the parent/guardian, you make the decision about whether to send your child to Reading Camp. Reading Camp activities will be engaging and provide technology experiences.

Why Summer Reading Camp?
Camp is offered to invited 1st-3rd grade students who would benefit from extra literacy support during the summer months. It is also offered as support for 3rd graders who are continuing to work toward meeting a Read to Achieve pathway.

What happens at SRC?
During a typical day at Summer Reading Camp, students are engaged in literacy instruction focused on both foundational skills and comprehension. We strive to keep a low student-to-teacher ratio, so most work is done in a small group setting. Students also participate in hands-on science throughout the course of camp. Breakfast and lunch are provided to students each day they attend camp.
