I've taught Biology and Earth/Environmental Science here at Community High since 2013. I spent 2012 traveling through Central America in a pickup truck, and before that I taught high school biology in Pittsburgh.
My very favorite thing about science is the fact that it changes every day, with new species and elements and interactions being discovered all the time! Although the history of science is fascinating, in class we try to focus on how every topic relates to the world we live in today. Why do the people on TV keep arguing about global warming? What's up with these stink bugs that sneak into our houses every fall? Can I make a clone of myself to do my homework?
When I'm not at school I enjoy riding horses, doing pottery, playing piano, and reading. I have a bird named Pepper that hates feet, a husband named Zach who loves mountains, and an ever-changing number of fish.
