Three amazing librarians inspired me to become a librarian: my
primary school librarian, Mrs. Dance, who helped me learn to read;
librarian and children's author Beverly Cleary; and most importantly, my grandmother, Julia Pacey, who worked as a librarian for Franklin County Public Libraries in Kentucky.
I'm originally from Knoxville, TN, and I earned my BA in American Indian
Studies and English from the University of North Dakota, and my
Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of North
Carolina-Greensboro. Before coming to CHS, I worked as a college
librarian. I love to read (of course!), hike, and spend time with my
family. I'm married to Clay, and we have 2 children, Daniel and Nell.
