+ Welcome to all – those who are continuing the program and those of you who are new to us.

+ Off to a Great Start for the 1st semester of the 2016-17 school year! Students are setting high goals in their assigned classes and doing some impressive work so far this semester.  Please continue to encourage them in their efforts.

+ Service Learning Project???  Please let us help!   We would love to hear any suggestions you might have of places we could partner with where our students could do service learning projects.  Please let any of our staff know if you have any ideas...

2-Hour Early Release on 9/28, 10/18, and 10/31...  Students will be dismissed from school at 12:20.

+ Check the BCS website ... for more information on adverse weather updates, calendar changes, makeup day information, transportation, etc.  Take advantage of the BCS School Messenger service to keep up-to-the-moment with delays, cancellations and other issues that come with living in the mountains (especially during winter!).

+ Community High School and the PASS program have adopted an ‘outcomes-based’ system of assessing student work.  When grading student work, we will no longer be using number grades (i.e.85%, 97%, etc.) but instead will indicate one of the following:

HP = highly proficient         P = proficient         NY(P) = not yet proficient

Note: These ratings will be translated into standard letter grades for report cards.
